Well......I just bought a quad engine for the GLA buggy however I think it'll be too fast for the kid too handle. Think I'll use it to build a 2 seater and use a Honda 3.5 HP motor for his one.

My First Post
I having a tough time coming to terms with my brother's death. Frequently I just ... sort of disappear - like my mind detaching itself from my body. Jeez.
I would have gladly given my life for him and I just realised last night I never told him how much I loved him. Never hugged him apart from when he was still a babe. Have'nt spoken to him for 2.5 years after we had a slight disagreement.
Well - I just have to deal it, just need to keep busy to stop my mind wandering.
Highlight today was the arrival of the pedestal drill I ordered. Problem now is finding space in my garage - but I'll find a corner for it.
It took my mind a bit off the recent death of my little brother - God bless his soul.

Project: GLA Buggy
Am having a tough time finding a set of wheels and a centrifugal clutch. These items are prolly gonna be the most expensive but what the heck.
This is what I aim to build for my son. Final result will probably be a bit off but this what I'm aiming for. Already got an engine for him. Am scouring for a set of wheels.

Substance Abuse and Monopolies
We here in South Africa have got 2 excellent examples of how monopolies can rigidly control a market - Telkom and Eskom; both goverment inspired and protected.
It struck me - and the idea is not new - that if the same principles are applied to narcotic substances; we may actually see an alleviation in substance abuse.
Farm out the rights to sell all narcotic substances to one entity only - NARCOR. This entity's customers will then be all the drug users which much be full registered and then can obtain the drugs from NARCOR.
Thus the market is known and can be regulated. Problem is drugs need to be sold at reasonable prices so as to be affordable to drug users negating the need for drug inspired criminal activities.
This goes against the grain of monopolies - they will want to exploit the market to its fullest potential and set prices as high as they can get away with.
So free, low cost goverment approved drugs for all!!

Drill Installed
Am very happy with the drill I bought. Recently got an old second hand compressor which I'm rebuilding. Lot's of work still to do.
Nearly finished with the chassis of a toy car I'm building my son - he played with it last night. Very keen to get this off my back - but what a worthwhile project. The boy is so happy!
